Is Your Computer’s Operating System Up To Date?

When were your computers checked to verify Windows has installed all the updates that are released periodically? Think of Windows Updates as being the foundation which other software builds upon.
If the foundation isn’t updated, then newer software can’t operate correctly as designed. Many times, our customers will call with issues concerning new software and we then find out they haven’t done Windows Updates and kept their foundation “rock solid”.  Visit with your system administrator or local technician to review how often you should do this.

Continued Blessings

- Continued Blessings
I have such fond memories of Christmas and New Years as a child. The house was always filled with wonderful smells of holiday cooking, a “real” tree that Dad took us out to cut down each year and decorate together, the reading of the Christmas story from the Bible, and the heart-warming Christmas carols and music. My mom and dad were always singing and I remember it always made me feel safe and loved. We always had lots of family around… cousins, aunts and uncles, and the most wonderful grandparents ever!!! I just want to encourage you to work on making those precious memories with your family through the Christmas season this year because they stay with you forever.

We have just recently returned from a couple of Trade Shows  - one in Memphis, TN and another in Nashville, TN. Both shows were a great success and best of all we got to see and visit with our customers there! It is always such a blessing to us to get to see our customers face to face and hear how they are doing. We have been blessed to add several new dealers and additional locations to our customer family. We are thankful that God has blessed our customers and our company over the years.

Remember, customer service is a primary focus here at Basic Software Systems. We always want to hear from you! We want you all to call us with any questions about the software or concerns you may have understanding a new feature or application. We do not know you are having difficulties unless you tell us and only then can we help you resolve. The main reason we offer 800 numbers is so our customers can call anytime they have software questions. Our heart is to support you and empower you to increase efficiency and productivity within your company.  We want to wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and New Year and we pray God’s blessings on our country!

Dig Deeper

Winter is here and along with winter comes all of the things we associate with it. Some of us associate winter with negative undertones, while others speak favorably of the season. It’s a personal preference, really.

Same is true for the topic of technology. One may love Windows with excellent arguments to back up his/her point-of-views, while another loves Mac and has just as many accolades for their preference. One thing to realize is preference does not mean that you can’t get the job done with what you have.

One thing I find as I talk software with so many people is that each and every person has a preference I have to overcome. Sometimes, the preference is to my favor and other times, not so much. I tell people that they should dig deeper when researching what software they want to use to get the job done. In this day and time, visual is the biggest selling point with products in technology. All the while, it should be the furthest thing from their evaluation. When it comes to software, functionality and data integrity should be the most important thing to validate. However, we seem to leave that out and I have had several prospects regret such a decision based on visual aspects alone.

So, when making decisions about software, especially when it comes to technology, I encourage you to DIG DEEPER!   -   Chanse McGuire – Sales | sales@basic-software.com
