Is Your Computer’s Operating System Up To Date?

When were your computers checked to verify Windows has installed all the updates that are released periodically? Think of Windows Updates as being the foundation which other software builds upon.
If the foundation isn’t updated, then newer software can’t operate correctly as designed. Many times, our customers will call with issues concerning new software and we then find out they haven’t done Windows Updates and kept their foundation “rock solid”.  Visit with your system administrator or local technician to review how often you should do this.

PHYSICAL INVENTORY Helpful Tip:
Using our Mobile Computer device will cut off hours of physical inventory time!

Continued Blessings

- Continued Blessings
I have such fond memories of Christmas and New Years as a child. The house was always filled with wonderful smells of holiday cooking, a “real” tree that Dad took us out to cut down each year and decorate together, the reading of the Christmas story from the Bible, and the heart-warming Christmas carols and music. My mom and dad were always singing and I remember it always made me feel safe and loved. We always had lots of family around… cousins, aunts and uncles, and the most wonderful grandparents ever!!! I just want to encourage you to work on making those precious memories with your family through the Christmas season this year because they stay with you forever.

We have just recently returned from a couple of Trade Shows  - one in Memphis, TN and another in Nashville, TN. Both shows were a great success and best of all we got to see and visit with our customers there! It is always such a blessing to us to get to see our customers face to face and hear how they are doing. We have been blessed to add several new dealers and additional locations to our customer family. We are thankful that God has blessed our customers and our company over the years.

Remember, customer service is a primary focus here at Basic Software Systems. We always want to hear from you! We want you all to call us with any questions about the software or concerns you may have understanding a new feature or application. We do not know you are having difficulties unless you tell us and only then can we help you resolve. The main reason we offer 800 numbers is so our customers can call anytime they have software questions. Our heart is to support you and empower you to increase efficiency and productivity within your company.  We want to wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and New Year and we pray God’s blessings on our country!

Dig Deeper

Winter is here and along with winter comes all of the things we associate with it. Some of us associate winter with negative undertones, while others speak favorably of the season. It’s a personal preference, really.

Same is true for the topic of technology. One may love Windows with excellent arguments to back up his/her point-of-views, while another loves Mac and has just as many accolades for their preference. One thing to realize is preference does not mean that you can’t get the job done with what you have.

One thing I find as I talk software with so many people is that each and every person has a preference I have to overcome. Sometimes, the preference is to my favor and other times, not so much. I tell people that they should dig deeper when researching what software they want to use to get the job done. In this day and time, visual is the biggest selling point with products in technology. All the while, it should be the furthest thing from their evaluation. When it comes to software, functionality and data integrity should be the most important thing to validate. However, we seem to leave that out and I have had several prospects regret such a decision based on visual aspects alone.

So, when making decisions about software, especially when it comes to technology, I encourage you to DIG DEEPER!   -   Chanse McGuire – Sales | sales@basic-software.com

Marketing Our Services

What better way to market our services than with the users themselves?

“The Customer Support service at Basic Software Systems is above and beyond ALL the rest. If we have a computer issue, the support staff returns our call usually within a few minutes of reporting it and fixes the problem before hanging up with us. We always feel like a valued customer from everyone at Basic Software. They know us by name and never makes anyone feel like we are bothering them when we do have a problem.  Other competitors have tried to get us to switch, but with the support we have from Basic Software and with all the ease of using their software, why would we ever want to change? We like the benefits of paying support because no matter how large or small the problem is,  it gets fixed with no additional cost. It is sort of a “fix it and forget it policy”. No additional costs are wonderful.”
Gellings Implement  - Wisconsin

We believe in putting our customers first each and everyday. It is true, we know our customers' voice and their names. They are like a second family to us. Where else can you find customer service like that?

If you are looking for a Business Management System provider that truly cares about your company and your success, call our team today. We would love to hear from you.

Training Increases Productivity

Studies have shown that computers increase productivity, but those gains can only be realized if employees are comfortable and experienced with the systems. According to the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, investments in technology produce gains in productivity three to five times greater than other investments by allowing employees better access to the information they need to do their jobs. Ensuring that your employees are trained and familiar with computers will help them spend less time tracking down that information and more time utilizing it to perform vital tasks for your company. Road To Success

“Failure is simply an opportunity to begin again more intelligently.”  Many times we look at our failures and let them discourage us because we did not reach the goals we had set. We encourage you to set goals for growth! We are here to assist you with questions you might have regarding making your business system the best and most productive tool you can use on a daily basis.  The investment truly is worth it!

Seasonal Transition

Seasonal Transition
“To everything  (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven.
A time to be born, a time to die,
A time to plant, a time to reap,
A time to kill, a time to heal,
A time to laugh, a time to weep….”

You probably just sang this tune of the Beatles while reading those famous lyrics or maybe you thought of the words from the book of Ecclesiastes… either way, these words are profound when it comes to seasonal transition.

At the end of summer, most of us welcome the cooler breeze of autumn, the changing color of the leaves, the smell of cinnamon and baked apples, the extra hour we gain in our days. Everyone has their favorite part of the new season. Each new season welcomes new chapters that contain events like relocations, new babies, new jobs, new friends, weddings, funerals, personal victories… you name it. But while in the midst of each season, we may anticipate its ending rather than embracing it, learning from it, or being developed in it. There is a reason for every season, even if our hearts and minds don’t understand it.  We may not want a happy season to end and are scared of what the new season holds. Turning the page to a new chapter in life can be scary or exciting, but it also could be a time to heal, a time to weep, a time to build up, a time to break down,  it could be your time to dance, or maybe your time to mourn, a time to cast away stones, or a time to gather them together.
Whatever you may be facing in your own personal life or business, keep in mind that you are not alone. There are other people who have worn your shoes, or are facing the same things you may be facing. If you are in a happy season, help those that may not have this fortune.  Look for opportunities to build them up, encourage them, listen to them, and pray for them.

You don’t know what a simple card that says “I’m thinking of you today” can do for someone’s spirits and what it can do for yours!  Think outside of your box and help build up someone else today.

We Make Learning New Software Easier

We understand learning a new business system can be frustrating and scary. This is why we offer numerous training options to meet your convenience and learning style. Our instructional training is designed to fit their needs and give them information they need to be productive and successful. All of our courses are taught by knowledgeable trainers who have first-hand experience with using our software.

"We learned so much about what the software can do and better ways to do certain things. We've been using the system just for parts and service for a few months prior to training before coming, and I would recommend that to anyone. It made it so much easier to know how to navigate the system. Now we know how to navigate every part of the system. Thank you so much!"
Nel's Tractor - New York

"The opportunity to attend on-hands classroom training was great. Prior to the training, I was not aware of the full expansiveness of the software and the different areas it can be useful." It was great to have the opportunity to speak to other dealerships and share ideas and experiences."
Calgary Tractorland - Alberta, Canada
